The Animal Humane Society, which serves the homeless animals of Minnesota, is requesting book donations for its 12th annual book sale. Donors can bring their gently used hardcover and paperback books, CDs, DVDs, record albums and cassette tapes to the organization’s two locations in Golden Valley and Coon Rapids through Sept. 25. The group requests that donors not bring encyclopedia sets, textbooks or Readers’ Digest condensed books.

Donations will be sold at the Animal Humane Society’s annual book sale held Oct. 5 – 8 at the Golden Valley location. Shoppers can choose from first editions, autographed copies, rare books and thousands of hardcover and paperbacks, as well as movies and music. All proceeds from the sale will help care for the more than 25,000 homeless companion animals the Animal Humane Society receives each year.

For more information about the sale and to learn more about how to make a donation, visit the Animal Humane Society website.
