Friends are there when we need them most, and the simplest gestures can go a long way.

An orphaned baby rhinoceros was introduced to some much-needed fun by her dog friend, Duma. At the Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage in South Africa, the rare baby black rhino, named Nandi, was adjusting to life without her mother, who was reportedly killed by poachers, when she met Duma.

And the Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage captured a beautiful moment of friendship on camera when Duma showed Nandi how to play with toys.

Duma, having decided that the green hedgehog wasn't working offered Nandi his fluffy toy puppy. The two them had a great game !

Duma romps around with the fluffy stuffed animal in his mouth, and sort of shows Nandi how playtime with toys is done.

Both tails are rapidly wagging the whole time, and it’s all kinds of cute.

Some more of Duma and Nandi playing with the fluffy toy puppy.

Then, in another video, Nandi hops around like a carefree puppy before her buddy Duma gives her a turn to play with the toy.

Thanks to Duma, Nandi’s world is suddenly a whole lot brighter.
