S.T.A.R.T. Shelter Transport Animal Rescue Team, delivers dogs from crowded shelters to waiting rescue groups in other states where they already have homes waiting. The organization visits with and screens all the rescues that receive the dogs and follows up on each dog to ensure they are happy and healthy in their new forever homes.
The DOG FANCY team was there to lend a hand and grab behind the scenes footage of a S.T.A.R.T ground transport carrying 129 dogs from Riverside County Department of Animal Services to rescue organizations in Oregon and Washington. Read more about S.T.A.R.T rescue and the ground transport here>>

The S.T.A.R.T. transport was part of a major transport of rescue dogs to the Northwest. On Saturday, April 27, the ASPCA, aided by sponsors Petmate and Subaru, coordinated with 22 pilot volunteers of Pilots N Paws, who took dogs by plane to shelters in Oregon and Washington state. See photos here>>
