The 18th annual United States Dog Agility Associations (USDAA) championships feature the Grand Prix of Dog Agility, along with other exciting tournaments: Dog Agility Steeplechase, World Cynosport Flying Disc Championships, North American Flyball Associations Duel in the Desert Tournament, Jack Russell Terrier races, canine freestyle exhibitions, and Course-A-Lure.

So Sadie Trunk Show
Chicago pet boutique, Tails in the City, is hosting a trunk Saturday and Sunday, featuring fine pet furnishings from a premier designer. Twenty percent of the proceeds go to Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS), the citys largest nonprofit, no-kill humane society.

US Disc Dog National Finals
This action-packed event is always a crowd pleaser. This year the Saturday U.S. Semi-Finals and Sunday U.S. National Finals will be filmed for airing on ESPN2. This is the first time in the 32-year history of the Frisbee Dog sport that a tournament will be aired on ESPN, as its own TV show. Come see some of the world’s most talented Frisbee Dogs with International teams competing for the Finals. It’s the nation’s biggest weekend of Frisbee Dog action. Canine spectators welcome!

Delving Into Your Dog’s Psyche

Iams Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption drive
San Diegos Helen Woodward Animal Center is teaming up with more than 2,000 animal shelters worldwide to encourage shelter pet adoption during the holiday season. As part of the program, new adoptive owners will receive an Iams starter kit containing food samples, coupons and pet care tips through Jan. 2.
