If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this one is worth at least a million.
A photo by Ashley Lang spreading her dog’s ashes is going viral, and it’s because some say the ashes resemble a dog going up to heaven. A post on Facebook by KOKO Amanda Sanchez states that Lang lives in Chicago, but chose to spread Wagner’s ashes in Wagner Park in Aspen, Colorado.
As reported by CBS Local in Chicago, Lang’s Golden Retriever Wagner was 12 years old when he passed away, and when a friend snapped the moment on a iPhone, the floating ashes looked like the silhouette of a dog.
“It’s pretty remarkable… the tail and the legs and he looks like he’s, you know, leaping to go up,” Lang told CBS Local. “Everyone keeps calling him the angel dog.”
Now, is this actually a photo of an angel dog going up to heaven? Or is it a combination of coincidence and incredible photographic timing?
It doesn’t really matter, does it? It’s giving people (including Wagner’s owner) a sense of peace, which is nice enough.
