David Hasselhoff says he wants to meet the hero dog who saved his owner from a burning building in England and is named after the actor.
In his blog, Hasselhoff said, “I am trying to get in touch with the owner,” Nathan Williams, of Cinderford, Gloucestershire.
“I would like to congratulate this heroic Hoff in person.”
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, nicknamed “The Hoff,” made headlines when he saved Williams in an apartment fire. Williams suffered burns and broken fingers in the blaze.
Firefighters told the BBC that Williams would have died if the dog had not awakened him.
As for Hasselhoff’s offer, Williams told the BBC that he would be happy to host the former “Baywatch” star, who’s currently filming “America’s Got Talent” with Sharon Osbourne and Nick Cannon.
“I would be up for it,” Williams said. “It would be strange to see him in Cinderford.
“I can’t really understand why he would want to meet me. I am just a man from Cinderford who had a fire.”
