It was a race for the ages as a group of Dachshunds took to the ice Nov. 10, 2017, at an American Hockey League game in Rockford, Illinois, that saw the Rockford IceHogs play host to the San Antonio Rampage.
Although the IceHogs got blown out by San Antonio, the weiner dog race was a success. Twelve Dachshunds entertained the crowd by racing each other during the first intermission of the game.

The winner of the four-legged race was a pupper named Darby, who came to the arena ready and was all business from the start of the race to defend his crown. Back-to-back wins for Darby!
