Chuck & Don’s Pet Food Outlet, a 13-store pet specialty chain based in Minnesota, raised a total of $14,841 through its annual Chuck & Don’s Holiday Paw Print fundraising campaign. The 2007 beneficiary was Homes for All Pets Coalition, a group of at least 14 animal rescue and shelter groups throughout Minnesota.
In the fundraiser, customers donated $11,873, and the company added a 25 percent match. Participating customers are able to fill out a palm-sized paw print for a donation of $1 or more. Those paw prints are then displayed in the windows of the pet stores throughout the holiday season.
“We exceeded our goal and we’re absolutely thrilled with the success of our Holiday Paw Print fundraiser,” said Dana Andresen, director of operations for the chain. “Chuck & Don’s has always been committed to helping homeless pets through programs such as Pet Fix. Spay/neuter programs save lives and will help bring an end to euthanasia of health adoptable pets.”
Proceeds of the fundraiser will be used for the Pet Fix program that provides no- and low-cost spay/neuter surgeries.
