When it comes to enjoying rare dog breeds and the thrill of exciting competitions, few events can rival the annual United Kennel Club Premier. The 17th annual Premier drew thousands of competitors July 9 to 11 in Richmond, Ind. The event featured a variety of conformation and performance events, including agility, obedience, rally, weight pull, terrier races, lure coursing, and dock jumping.
The Premier was historically held in Kalamazoo, Mich., home to UKC headquarters. This year, the Premier moved to the Wayne County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center, which featured more space for outdoor performance events and indoor conformation shows.
