Learning what makes cats healthy and happy is the focus of the Chatty Cat Challenge, a contest sponsored by Bayer HealthCare’s animal health division.
The company, which manufactures topical Advantage II flea control for cats, is inviting cat owners to tell the world what their pets would say are the secrets to health and happiness.
“Bayer HealthCare recognizes that two of the keys to managing feline health are regular veterinary care and year-round use of a monthly flea preventive,” said Bayer executive Dave Van Brunt.
“There are other things that contribute to feline well-being, but cats aren’t chatting about them, so we need owners to help give their cats a voice.”
Owners may submit a photo, meme or video of their cat along with a narrative of up to 100 words that reveals the secrets to health and happiness from the cat’s point of view.
Entries may be made at ChattyCatChallenge.com until Sept. 30, 2013. Submissions that meet the entry criteria will be posted on the website, and visitors will vote for the top 10 finalists.
Nine finalists will each receive a one-year supply of Advantage II for cats and a premium cat carrier. The grand-prize winner will get a three-year supply of Advantage II for cats, a premium cat carrier and an iPad mini.
