Airline passengers in Los Angeles this afternoon tweeted the reaction of the TSA after witnessing someone put a cat through an Xray machine.
Gawker first reported on tweets from people at LAX who saw and heard the Transportation Security Administration express shock and outrage as someone put his or her cat through the baggage screening Xray before attempting to board a flight.
#XRayCat became a hashtag on Twitter, and other people chimed in with their reactions. Many had done the same thing — taken pets through the security line and had them Xrayed. Some European countries even insist on Xraying pets before flights.
Have you witnessed this, or done it yourself?
The amount of screaming that’s happening in the Jet Blue terminal at LAX is incredible right now and yet it feels completely appropriate.

I have seen people pulled out of the TSA line for knives. Guns. I have never seen the rage of the TSA when dude just put his cat in the XRay

@SaraJBenincasa I worked for TSA for a bit (yes it was the worst) and I stopped probably a half dozen people from doing exactly this.
