Carrie Fisher attended President Barack Obama’s 8th and final White House Correspondents’ Dinner April 30 and brought along her French Bulldog, Gary. The annual “Nerd Prom” lets presidents roast the media and celebrities who have an impact, positive or not, on political and social culture.

Gary isn’t any ordinary Frenchie, he is actually a member of Service Dogs of America who received his official credentials from the White House to attend the event.

Fisher attended the red carpet event with Gary and Marvel movie star Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Fisher let her affiliation be known in a series of Tweets that included Gary, including the Tweet “Not every Republican is a Dawg…” Gary was hanging out in front of some Secret Service members before he went in to hear President Obama do some roasting.

Gary made the most of his trip to Washington D.C., hobnobbing with celebrities such as Tom Hiddleston, Kendall Jenner and Helen Mirren, cruising the red carpet in style, and just having a typical dog day in D.C.
