Friends who stick by you through thick and thin are the ones you need to keep around.

Glenn and Buzz have such a friendship, and together they’ve been through some tough times. Most recently, the two dogs were abandoned and found in a sea tunnel in Hartlepool, England, and are now waiting at a County Durham rescue center for someone to adopt them, BBC News reports.

Glenn, a Jack Russell Terrier, is blind and relies on Buzz, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, to be his eyes, according to BBC News. The center’s staff thinks that the canine companions may have been abandoned due to old age, as they are thought to be between nine and 10 years old.

“Glenn gets his confidence from Buzz, and if they were separated even for a few minutes, they both bark and become distressed so they would need to have a loving home together,” Sue Bielby from Stray Aid in Coxhoe told BBC News.

It’s good to know that they are currently in a loving environment, and hopefully they will find a permanent home soon.
