When a large Malamute meets a small kitten for the first time, extreme awkwardness ensues.

How many courageous kittens does it take to scare a giant Malamute? Just one, apparently.

In a video uploaded to YouTube last month by user Internalsi, a large Malamute interacts with a small kitten and… well… things get awkward.

The dog has absolutely no idea what to do with the tiny life form in front of him, and alternates between wary side glances and nervous backward steps.

The kitten, however, doesn’t seem to be bothered by the large dog at all.

Isn’t that always the way? So many humans are terrified of spiders (myself included) even though spiders are what? The size of fingernail, in most cases?

I get it though, Malamute. I do. This little creature should be intimidated by your enormous stature. This fluffy pipsqueak should be more reserved and more hesitant to share the same space as you.

But that’s a cat for you. No matter how old or how big, they do whatever they want.
