Barking Dogs Wanted To Set Record

Petmate hopes to set Guinness World Record for the loudest bark by a group of dogs.

Calling all loud dogs! On Saturday, Nov. 7, pet products manufacturer Petmate is hoping to break the Guinness World Record for the loudest bark by a group of dogs. The event will take place at 9 a.m. at Washington Park in Denver, Colo.

Participants and spectators are asked to take a donation of unopened dog food to the event. The food will be donated to rescue organizations in Colorado. Dogs who participate will receive a gift bag containing Petmate toys and other items.

The current record for the loudest bark by a group of dogs was set in June by 52 dogs in London, England. Their barking reached 115 decibels and beat out the previous record of 111 decibels that was set in 2008 by more than 200 American dogs.
