Artists’ Guidelines

If you would like to submit your art to CAT FANCY, please review our artists' guidelines.

CAT FANCY magazine is a consumer magazine dedicated to the love of cats.

We occasionally assign freelance artists to illustrate specific stories. For special assignments,
we pay $75 to $150 for full-page, four-color illustrations, and $35 to $75 for spot illustrations.

If you would like to be considered for assignments, send a few samples of your cat-related work.
Tear sheets or photographs of illustrations are acceptable. Samples will not be returned.

We occasionally use single-panel cartoons as filler. Cartoons must feature a cat or cats and should fit single-column width (2¼) or double-column width (4½). We pay $35 for each cartoon used. We will not return sample materials without a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
