The dogs and their pig BFF were abandoned together, sleep together and will hopefully be adopted together.

Are you ready to adopt a dog? Because one Pennsylvania animal shelter hopes that if you’re considering taking one dog, you might be willing to take a second one. And a pig, too.

The Animal Rescue League of Berks County in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, is trying to find a home for an unlikely trio of animals who were seemingly best friends even before they were abandoned at the shelter. The two Pomeranian-Chihuahua mixes and their 120-pound porcine companion were left at the shelter in September, 69 News-WFMZ reports, and staff members are doing everything they can to keep the three of them together.

“They sleep together. They do everything together, go for walks together,” shelter manager Sarah McKillip told WFMZ. “The littlest one rides the pig’s back, and they’re like a real family.”

The group is known as Triple P: Paprika and Pickles are the dogs’ names, while the pig is named Pattie. But unfortunately, the shelter is struggling to find someone willing to take the trio home; either someone is interested in Pattie on her own, or they’re interested in the dogs. The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is even willing to let potential owners foster Triple P for a few weeks, to see what it would be like to adopt at least 150 pounds of animal love.

“[If they’re not adopted together] it will be heartbreaking to watch Pattie because she would probably be the one that’s left behind,” McKillip told the news station. “They are a family, which is what breaks my heart to have to separate them.”

Surely there’s someone out there who has room in their heart — and in their yard — for the three best friends.
