If you have the luxury of flying first class from San Francisco and Los Angeles to New York City on one of American Airlines’ A321T planes, well, you’re lucky. And you just got a little luckier. For an extra $125 (on top of the price of a First Class ticket), your dog can travel next to you in his own special compartment. That is, as long as he can fit in a 19 by 13 carrier, Travel + Leisure reports.
“[We] designed the special First Class pet cabins…to make it easier for customers to travel with their jet-setting pets,” an American Airlines spokesman told Travel + Leisure. “It’s a unique feature, and it’s becoming popular with trendsetters.”
To book your dog in the “Cuddle Class” (yes, that’s what it’s being called), you must reserve the space when you book the flight, as well as provide veterinary documentation.
