AKC Canine Health Foundation Award

Terence Block, president of Nestlé Purina PetCare Company’s North American Pet Foods, will be honored for his commitment to canine health.

The AKC Canine Health Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research to prevent, treat and cure canine disease, will present Block with the 2011 President’s Award at the Parent Club Canine Health Conference in Gray Summit, Mo., on August 13, 2011.

“It is an honor to present Terry Block with this prestigious award,” says Lee Arnold, the Foundation’s chairman of the board. “Throughout his career, Terry has continued to demonstrate his commitment to canine health research and the companion animal industry. Under his leadership, Purina has contributed more than $8.5 million to the Foundation. We pause to recognize his efforts and celebrate his contributions.”

Block, who joined Nestlé Purina PetCare Company in 1977, is humbled to receive this recognition and proud to accept this award on behalf of Nestlé Purina’s 7,000 associates in the United States.

“We congratulate Terry on being selected for this year’s award,” says Terry Warren, CHF chief executive officer and general counsel of CHF. “His tremendous contributions to canine health through his work with Nestlé Purina PetCare have helped us continue our mission to help dogs live longer, healthier lives.”
