Most cats live to their early or mid-teens. That is a long life for a cat.
And then there’s Corduroy, who is still alive and kicking at 26 years young. He just reclaimed his Guinness World Record title of oldest living cat after Tiffany Two passed away this spring at 27 years old.
According to Guinness World Records, Corduroy previously held the title in 2014, before Tiffany Two’s owners submitted her for the title.
Corduroy has lived his long life in Oregon with his owner, Ashley Reed Okura, who’s loved him since he was a tiny kitten.
“We are thrilled!”Reed Okura told Guinness. “I bought Corduroy a mouse to celebrate… it is wonderful to share him with the world.”
